අප සෞරග්‍රහමණ්ඩලයේ කලක් ග්‍රහලෝකයක් ලෙස සලකා පසුව වාමන ග්‍රහයෙක් ලෙස සලකා ඉවත් කරනලද ප්ලූටෝගේ නවතම ඡායාරූප කට්ටලයක් නාසා ආයතනය විසින් මේ වන විට නිකුත් කර ඇත.

මෙම ඡායාරූප ලබාගෙන ඇත්තේ හබල් දුරේක්ෂය විසිනි. මෙම අයිස්මය මතුපිටක් සහිත වාමන ග්‍රහයා‍ මේ වන විට සෘතු විපර්යාසයට භාජනය වී ඇත.

ප්ලූටෝ දැන් දිස්වන්නෙ රතු පැහැයෙනි. මේ අතර උතුරු ධ්‍රැව ආසන්න ප්‍රදේශය දීප්තිමත් පැහැයක් ගෙන ඇත. මෙයට හේතුව ලෙස සලකන්නේ සූර්ය කිරණ ලැබෙන ධ්‍රැව ආසන්න ප්‍රදේශ වල අයිස් ඌර්ද්වපාතනය වී අනෙක් ධ්‍රැව ආසන්නව නැවත රැස් වීම යි. මෙය ප්ලූටෝ ගේ වසර 248ක සෘතු චක්‍රයේ මීළඟ අවස්ථාවයි.

මෙවර ලබාගත් ඡායාරූප ප්ලූටෝ ගේ මෙතෙක් ලබාගත් පැහැදිලිම ඡායාරූප ලෙස සැලකේ. 2015දී ප්ලූටෝ වෙත යාම නියමිත New Horizons යානය විසින් ප්ලූටෝ තවදුරටත් ඡායාරූපගත කිරීමට නියිමිත ය.
